music: if only i could see, return myself to me
drink: morning detox
mood: exhausted

it seems this year is going to be all about collaborations..
some are already done, some are still in progress and several are only forming in my mind.

last weekend i had a visit from a wonderful photographer and a good friend of mine Guro Storskjaer. we stuffed my tiny apartment with equipment and have been shooting non-stop - i had a great time and i think we got some nice results as well. Guro kindly agreed to pose for me, both for the "official big project" and just for some snapping. here's what i managed to turn it into.

the snapping part

i've never done this kind of photography before so i'm not quite sure if the outcome is worth showing but Guro was satisfied and that's of course the main thing for me. hope you'll like it too!

the big project was basically an old idea, inspired by Bjork's "All is full of love". i guess i was putting it aside waiting for someone who'd be eager to do it with me. and i'm really glad that Guro appeared to be that special person.

bigger version in the gallery

i did some modelling too and i'm absolutely in love with the final result. plus i got a new addition to my wall collection - Guro's original LE print "And the fear still shapes me". thank you so much, girl!

another exciting collaboration happened between me and a german writer/photographer Steffen aka Starkall. we accidentally bumped into each other on facebook and after some chatting Steffen offered me the precious gift of his words, inspired by some of my images. the originals are in german but we're currently working on english translation, which i will post later on.

Zu Warten

Wer hat dich gebunden? Wer nahm dein Sehnen?
Erinnere dich!
in deinen Händen.

Untitled III

make sure to check the rest of the verses under some of the other images in the gallery and on the about page.
needless to say, this is just the beginning of our co-creating together.. but i won't say more, you'll just have to be patient .)

i've also met with a lovely girl and a talented illustrator Adriane Vinter - i've been stalking her on the web for a year or so and it was really cool to finally meet her IRL. i got a postcard with one of her artworks as a present and - as you might probably guess - we're going to cook a project together :)

happy me + the postcard

last but not least, i was showcased in a turkish magazine "6gen" (obviously in turkish) and a part of my portfolio is featured on dabomba.net

so, two new works are coming soon.. one with Adriane and one with.. ahh, you don't really want to know .)

stay tuned :)

The new work is fabulous Daria, as always deeply touching and charged with emotions, I love it...a fantastic homage to a really great song. Happy to see that you're collaborating with Guro, I admire her. Thanks for sharing all these excellent news! Take care of you!
